Recently I saw an ad for MPB Today and it rang a bell I had heard several months ago about the new income opportunity enabling to eliminate your grocery bill. So I did a little more digging, phoned the owner of the website and called the corporate office. I became pretty blunt I guess you would say: "Is this for real?" I asked and "Have you really had the opportunity to sign up 60,000 affiliates in 6 moths?"

I was taken by the low key answer coming from both sides. "It seems to be appealing to the masses particularly during these difficult economic times. Everyone has to eat, we all need groceries and groceries is our product. I think that people can identify with Networking more than ever at this time because everyone could use additional money or even a way to replace the income from losing their job. What's more important is the fact that mpbtoday.com has a pretty straight forward pay plan in which you only need to personally sponsor 2 people to qualify and remain qualified to earn commissions," the owner of the website explained in her friendly European accent. I asked, "Is it hard to draw in new affiliates into the mpbtoday business opportunity?" She replied, "It's a business that kind of markets itself but yes, it takes some effort in which to succeed."

I had been appealed by her low key approach but I knew there had to be more forthcoming and so I pressed to hear the "sales pitch." And So I said, "so okay let's imagine I'm on the fence and can't decide if I think this is a good business to join, how could you respond to that?" She replied, "I believe that almost everyone can easily see the worthiness in this home based business. Is it the right time in your life? Well, only you can answer that. If you'd like, you can give me your current email address, I can send to you more information where there's an opt-out link if you no longer wish to receive any more updates."

What's up with this? A company and one of it's affiliates not trying to shove some hard nosed sales pitch down my throat? I've been around MLM, network marketing, home based businesses and every alternate source of "How to make money from home" schemes since I was a teenager and I had never heard about such an approach. I wondered about training and support and so I challenged by telling her "I do not know anything about how to market and I would need lots of training and support."
