1-Purchase the software you want

Before you do anything else, you have to do some searching for the equipment you will be purchasing. 2-Connect the output of the cassette tape into the computer sound card

The next thing you are gong to want to do is find the computer sound card and hook it up to the output of the cassette. This will allow you to capture the output of the cassette tape on your computer. The only kind of equipment you need to do this step is a stereo to stereo wire or a stereo to USB wire.

3-Change the output levels

The next step is to take a look at the output levels and tweak them however you want. Chances are good the music will be a bit distorted right away. If it is a few adjustments will make it sound normal.

4-Press the record button

Now that you have the music sounding the way you want it, just press the button that says record and it will start to transfer it onto your laptop. When it finishes recording, the only thing you need to do is save it as a MP3 file and transfer that file from your computer onto a Disc.
